General Dentistry

Routine dental visits allow your dentist to ensure problems are caught early and addressed in a conservative and economical manner. It is important to visit your dentist at least twice a year, or more frequently depending on the recommendation of your dental team.

Pediatric Dentistry

Pediatric Dentistry

Parents are encouraged to introduce their kids to the dentist as early as age 1. While during these early visits it may not be possible to take X-rays, an early introduction to the dental office can still be instrumental in detecting cavities or bite issues, not to mention getting acquainted with the dental team. Our office highly recommends fluoride treatments for re-mineralization and strengthening of the enamel as well as sealants to prevent future cavities.

Geriatric Dentistry

Geriatric Dentistry

Teeth generally wear down with time, and for this reason mature teeth require a different level of care. Excessive wear can cause a multitude of challenges, requiring teeth to be built up to the original shape and size. A full-mouth reconstruction is recommended for extreme cases of attrition (wear) to not only preserve the remaining teeth, but to prevent future GI challenges as a result of inadequate chewing or other chronic challenges like TMJ issues or headaches. The procedure can be done in phases.

Cosmetic Dentistry

While we perform esthetic dentistry every day, the term “cosmetic dentistry” is specifically used to describe treatments that correct misaligned teeth, gaps, or deep discolorations not addressed with whitening. Porcelain veneers are a great solution to changing the color and shape of teeth for patients who don’t wish to go through months of orthodontics and would like immediate gratification. Veneers are thin ceramic restorations that are bonded to natural teeth to make them straighter and whiter, giving you a more attractive smile. Sometimes, cosmetic dentistry is performed post-orthodontically if the desired outcome can’t be achieved with braces.

Orthodontics

Orthodontics are done not only to straighten misaligned teeth, but also to correct a bad bite. Regardless of age, patients with a suboptimal bite should correct their bite orthodontically to prevent future problems such as excessive wear, fractured teeth, bone loss, and gum problems.

Endodontics

A root canal is necessary when dental decay penetrates into the nerve of the tooth or the tooth is infected. The procedure involves removing the nerve of the tooth and filling it with a filling material to preserve the tooth and avoid having it removed.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening

It’s natural to want brighter teeth! Teeth become darker and dull with age, a reminder of why whiter teeth look healthier and younger. Using the in-office Philips ZOOM!™ Whitening system, or in the convenience of your home with our take-home bleaching kits, you can brighten up your smile for a younger, whiter smile.

Implant Dentistry

Implant Dentistry

Dental implants are the ideal way to replace lost teeth, maintaining health, beauty, and function. Unlike bridges or removable dentures, which sit on top of the gums, dental implants are fixed onto the bone under the gums. Implants can be used to replace any number of missing teeth. Even if you are missing all of your teeth and tired of wearing dentures, with implants you can get rid of the dentures completely and get a fixed alternative.

Extractions

Extractions

For extensively damaged or infected teeth or some problematic third molars, extraction is the only solution. Third molars, commonly known as wisdom teeth, develop later than other adult teeth. While not all wisdom teeth need to be extracted, if they cause crowding or become plaque traps or a source of future cavities, they’ll need to be extracted. In such cases it is best to remove them as soon as possible before the jaw becomes denser, making it more difficult to extract.

Periodontics Gum Related-Procedures

Periodontics – Gum Related Procedures

Many people assume that tooth loss is only due to decay, but technically tooth loss in many cases is because of gum disease. Some call gum disease “the silent disease,” as it can go unnoticed by patients right up until the tooth is about to be lost. Symptoms include but are not limited to bleeding gums and/or loose or shifting teeth. We can address gum disease surgically or non-surgically depending on the severity of the problem. Gum disease has been linked to systemic diseases such as heart disease, colon cancer, and stroke. New research suggests a possible link between periodontal disease and Alzheimer’s disease. Read Dr. Sadrameli’s article regarding this topic. The good news is that gum disease detected in its early stages is reversible and easily treated.

Oral Cancer Screening

Oral cancer causes one American death every hour. Early detection means a 90% cure rate of oral cancer. That’s why we conduct oral cancer screenings during your checkup and cleaning appointment. This screening literally saves lives.

Intra-Oral Camera Makes You a Part of the Team

The intra-oral camera is a tiny device that displays a closeup picture of the inside of your mouth and teeth, allowing you to see what we see and giving you a better understanding of the recommendations we make. After all, seeing is believing!

Digital X rays

Digital X-rays

This technology allows an image to be taken with a digital sensor and downloaded into the computer for immediate viewing. We also have the capability of getting an image of the upper and lower jaws in a single film with panoramic digital X-rays. This technology not only allows immediate access to understanding the condition of your mouth, but also results in 75% less radiation than conventional X-rays. Most importantly, digital technology eliminates chemical waste and pollution of the environment.

Our Commitment to Sterilization

State-of-the-Art Sterilization

Sterilization is taken very seriously in our office. In addition to cleaning and sterilizing all instruments with hospital-grade solutions after every use, single-use tools are used when possible. Instruments are sterilized after each use with a special unit called an autoclave that is regularly monitored by an independent lab to ensure the highest level of safety and cleanliness. Protecting your health is our priority. Learn more on our Safety and Protection page.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Nitrous oxide sedation, or “laughing gas,” is commonly used to make treatment more comfortable. This type of sedation is inhaled through a mask, allowing you to relax. Local anesthetic administered in conjunction with nitrous oxide allows for a more comfortable experience.

Anesthetic Reversing Agent!

After dental procedures, the numbness lingers for hours, making routine activities like talking and eating a little challenging. Today it is easy to get rid of the “fat lip” faster and enjoy your daily activities with anesthesia-reversing agents. So, if the thought of being numb for hours after your treatment makes you uncomfortable – we can take care of that for you!
